PRORAD ATLAS 2-70: Redefining Radiography Beyond Hospital Walls

As healthcare delivery expands beyond traditional hospital settings, diagnostic technologies must evolve to keep pace. Accessibility, mobility, and speed are becoming as important as accuracy. Recognising this shift, Prognosys Medical Systems has developed the PRORAD ATLAS 2-70-an ultraportable handheld X-ray system designed to bring reliable radiography directly to the point of care.

Built for Mobility

Weighing just 2.8 kg, the PRORAD ATLAS 2-70 delivers true portability-an “X-ray in a backpack.” Its compact design allows clinicians to carry diagnostic capability into remote areas, bedside environments, and mobile care settings where conventional X-ray systems are difficult to deploy. Despite its lightweight form, the system is engineered for durability and consistent performance in demanding conditions.

Optimised for Performance and Safety

The system operates on a 2 mA, 70 kVp configuration, optimized to produce high-resolution digital images while maintaining lower radiation exposure. This balance supports safe imaging practices, particularly important in outreach programs, screening initiatives, and repeated examinations.

Designed Around Clinical Workflow

The ergonomic handheld design enables stable positioning and comfortable operation. An intuitive interface allows quick parameter adjustments, while both remote and hand-switch exposure options allow operators to maintain a safe distance during imaging.

Integrated Digital Intelligence

A built-in DICOM workstation allows immediate image review after acquisition, enabling faster clinical decisions. When paired with a digital detector panel, the system delivers high-quality diagnostic images, supported by a long-lasting battery designed for extended field use.

Expanding Access to Imaging

The PRORAD ATLAS 2-70 is particularly suited for environments where traditional radiography systems are impractical, including:

  • Rural healthcare facilities and outreach programs
  • Remote medical camps
  • Bedside or home imaging for immobile patients
  • Lung and orthopaedic clinics
  • Emergency and mobile diagnostic units

By bringing imaging directly to the patient, it reduces logistical barriers and supports timely diagnosis.

A “Made in India” Innovation

Developed in India, the PRORAD ATLAS 2-70 reflects Prognosys Medical Systems’ commitment to expanding access to high-quality diagnostics through indigenous engineering.

With portable, intelligent radiography, clinicians can capture critical images wherever care is delivered—bringing diagnostics closer to patients.
